My first day… on adderall…. ever

Now… the way this came about….was perfect. It was like my whole fam turned into drug dealers 💊

I’ve been on the lower level of Adderall, Ritalin, which kind of have the same affects for ADHD in kids. But once puberty really sets in Ritalin is theoretically useless. And there’s many diagnosed and undiagnosed adults that fall suit to this path. If you really knocking them out of the range for a Ritalin to work, but also not have the proper resources for advanced medications. Albeit, Adderall can be prescribed, but that’s it. It is a controlled substance, that requires a physician first. And if you do not have one at your disposal, it may lead to a life of raw-dogging your ADHD through the day until you do. Which is the case for more than a handful of people.

OK long story short my aunt passed on the Adderall that my cousin was prescribed because he felt like he didn’t need it for his situation but he might benefit me better. Do you know how black folk be sharin’ medication.
I am a whole college student, I have never been one to shy away from an offering of drugs. I mean… ima say no… but ima let you ask me though.

NOW… of course you’ve seen plenty people in college take Adderall for the sake of it feeling like speed, usually to get their assignments done during allnighters. And that’s usually how it works, but the drug actually counters the chemicals in your brain that if you were a Neurotypical it would accelerate your brain’s processing neurons thus making you more amicable to think faster, process more and hyperfixate.
ADHD although. Chemicals in the brain already caused you to hyper fixate and scatterbrain amongst other things so the medication will combat that, thus making your brain work slower and at a more steady pace.
This is the name of the game with adderall.
I basically had a test trial of maybe 20 or so days to see how I would function and personally, I liked it. My brain fog lifted, I didn’t have much scrambled brain moments and whatever I had on my agenda was basically easy to follow. Blows my mind to see how much that drugs can change the direction that your brain functions and in a way assist in balancing out your brain’s chemistry.

Any other ADHDers that just tried amphetamines to conquer their disorder?
