When to shampoo (for less detangling)
Shampooing with a thick bush is definitely difficult regardless of being in the shower or not for me. you could section your hair and still feel like you’re getting nowhere with lots of scalp to cover.
lets be real, if you don’t shampoo now, you’ll be shampooing later due to all of the irritation. You know what that itchy scalp feels like 🥴
Too early : hairstyle still has the new-do sheen, thus shampooing the new nutrients soaking into your strands…out
perfect timing : roots begin to unravel and new growth forms around an inch; the take town process will still be relatively easy depending on how matted the ends become
too late : new growth is too abundant and sections begin to tangle with each other. Detangling and combing creme are a necessity before future styling is obtainable
Shampooing with sections whether with braids or elastic bands are really the key I use when I need to get through my full rinse with ease…somewhat. Spare strands just readily to tangle up with others while you work on a separate section
Now that my hair is past 9 inches, it takes a little more to get it done efficiently, so that means i’d usually shampoo whilst in the braids or twists, if it hadn’t been too long. When being done in twists it makes it more feasible to not only shampoo but also the take down and conditioning the strand shafts and twisting them back to pin them out of the way. You know, just to make it quicker and easier, because thats the point.
While I may no the able to delegate to you which one would work best for you. I could at least list the spectrum for you to realize where you may lie. 😸
