Segmenting your hair care regimen for lazies
Okay. We’re all busy throughout the day right, if we’re keeping it a thou-wow.
I can’t possibly go from detangling my way through the previous style to a whole new fresh do, even if I had half the day to do it. (Okay kidding, but still) So my best bet is to just split up the work in different styles. This way I can work through my hair with care, and have a style to pop out with, kind of like touching base in baseball… I’ll sit here until I have another good chance to run.
Ive had a few quieries of how my hair’s being maintained on a weekly basis, but as of late. I haven’t really been having it truly styled- so its been low maintenance for about 4-5 weeks I believe. You don’t know how well that does for my pockets tho. 🤐
Ive purchased a durag of my own after stealing one from my woes. a crushed velvet one. (Thanks beauty supply) and that’s low-key been my whole style for the month, matching pieces to my outfits and all. Its been a curse in disguise, for me and my own procrastinating self. Ive gotten a lil more lazy on detangling and for me that especially bad after a styling because I never let my hair out to breathe and let each strand be alone, per sé. Id maybe give my hair a rinse and rub some conditioner in, do my little light detangling and then move on with my shower; not really giving my roots the attention that it deserves, because without that, it will just start to matte itself after jumping in bed so many times after.
So what would I call this phase? The Potential Phase 🤠
There’s about 16 different ways I can go FROM this style, so it’s all a matter of decision and execution. It’s not really protected right now, there’s not a definitive style going on. It’s honestly just a takedown, which can for into a bush tail, top bun, dookie braids, you name it. Hence why I named it after the potential you have to switch up from this point.
To make my potential phase more potential-ly, I’d go in with some nourishment to my strands just to make sure that they’re on the healthy side.
