How big is your circle..? or is it a Pentagon? Tetrahedron? An obtuse triangle because you guys haven't spoken in a while? Maybe you have more than 2. For some, you ARE your circle
aight you get my point.
I believe the human spirit has its faces (masks, or personalities for easier understanding) for certain audiences. As you behave with one, you may not with another; Be it family and friends, or coworkers and your party buds.
I didn’t want to focus on the faces you wear, but the amount of energy and maintenance you burn through, clocking each personality in, and out with every interaction. It’s a tiresome juggle that usually dissipates are you grow older.
It takes a whopping amount of energy to be courteous with your family members, endearing and vulnerable for your friends, Kind and professional to your colleagues and lest not forget patient with yourself. Lets not even tack on the “jack of all trades” cap that if you’re a business owner, I’m sure you’ve worn plenty, entrepreneurs as well.
With all of these different personas phasing in an out vying for spotlight. How do you deal? How can you?
