Eatin’ Goooooooood
well…..we all wanna…. 🤷🏾♂️
We all like to eat good but as of late i’ve been thinkin’. What is actually eating good. Is it a factual answer or is it completely opinionated based on preference over resources? Eating seafood is luxurious to those whom aren’t allergic so would it necessarily count on their behalf? Who gets that say?
Oh yeah, YOU!
So let’s chat…
I can steer away from most meats… except seafood. Sea creatures are probably my culinary weakness.
Im not saying the 100 dollar lobster is exactly what i’m shooting to serve each and every time, but over food like pork chops, chicken tenders and meatballs; I’d substitute with a sea bug if I could. but lately I’ve been on a binge of shrimp tacos, and in multiple restaurants across a handful of states, if I see it on the menu- i’m gonna get a taste. I still feel like I have more delicious work to do. What am I working on you ask? -Refining my palette to accommodate my pescatarian habits. But its not all to be bougie. If I can get personal, I start to have an upset tummy at night before bed, after a beef meal, or maybe say spicy chicken, but seafood cuisine has more of a savory and succulent texture and taste to its dishes which are easier for me to digest I feel , or at least don’t get queasy afterwards.
Changing the amount of meals? that work?
Eating 2 times a day? 3? maybe just one with light snacking here and there. Maybe I could focus on making a bomb ass 4 course at the end of the day and letting THAT be my calories, but let’s come back to earth… Who finna cook that? Being on the go so much has made me appreciate finger foods a little more if not a lot. But is eating 3 times a day truly eating good, or just following a stigma of being healthy and well-rounded.
I mean, I be forgetting breakfast half the month so its not like it’s a necessity even though we have to look at it that way. But before I start sounding like an essay I really want to know if anyone out there eats their 3 well rounded meals a day.
I literally feel like i’m eating good when I get to focus on what i’m eating.
Regardless if it is expensive or not, focusing on the quality of what you’re digesting is really the key. And personally I find it hard to duplicate seafood, they out here making artificial chicken nuggets now but we can’t have no $2 lobster rolls. But focusing on what goes onto my plate really does help get a grip on my diet in my perspective, mainly because i’m the chef of the house but that gives me all the more reason to pay attention to what I bite into.
Would you follow same suit? What do you think constitute as you, eating good? I wanna know… I like to eat…
